Features

This intimate retreat of 20 rooms and 2 Grand Suites is styled in unique 1880's Victorian architecture offering all the amenities of a 5 Star Hotel. The lush gardens that surround the Resort and Yap's only freshwater swimming pool create a perfect tropical setting.

The Conservatory Restaurant offers fine dining with an island flare, and there's live entertainment and dancing at O'Keefe's Kanteen. This must be one of the oldest drinking holes in the Pacific. It was established circa 1874 by the legendary American trader Captain David O'Keefe. Here locals and visitors can mingle and enjoy their favourite cocktails in an imitate setting with live entertainment, dancing, succulent barbecued chicken and appetizers.

Traders Landing, located at Yap airport, provides a comfortable ambience for arriving and departing guests. The Traders Club, reserved exclusively for resort guests offers the only place at Yap Airport to relax in air-conditioned comfort while waiting for the late night/early morning departure for Guam.

Accommodation

All rooms have air conditioning, a ceiling fan, mini bar, TV/VCR, IDD telephone, hardwood floors and French doors that open onto a patio or veranda. All rooms have the same basic floor plan and differ by location. The Veranda Ocean rooms which overlook Chamarro Bay are particularly nice, and it's easy to get used to a "sundowner" on the balcony in the evening.

• 6 Patio rooms are located on the ground floor that open onto a private patio surrounded by a garden and hedge.
• 6 Veranda Ridge rooms are located on the second floor with a veranda overlooking the quiet lane on which the Resort is located along with a tropical view.
• 8 Veranda Ocean rooms are located on the first and second floors overlooking the swimming pool with breathtaking views of Chamarro Bay and the ocean.
• 2 Grand Suites with almost 800 square feet of living space set a new standard for luxury in Micronesia.

These spacious rooms are all elegantly decorated with hand crafted furniture and original artworks from the Ethnic Art Institute of Micronesia. Each room even has its own personal room steward!

The suites include two bathrooms, wet bar, living room, bedroom and dressing area.

The Traders Ridge Dive Shop is under new management: Mike Kuiper is a PADI, IDC Staff Instructor with over 5,000 dives. He was Base Leader and Assistant Base Leader for multiple islands in the Maldives . His utmost concern, after 25 years as a life guard on the North Sea Beaches, is guest safety so you can relax and enjoy your valet diving experience.
