Day Exhilaration! This is for early risers only. See the sunrise over the Atherton
Tablelands while silently gliding through the sky in a HOT AIR BALLOON.
At
the crack of dawn we introduce you to the safe, exciting sport of ballooning.
Our pilot will gently lift off and quietly glide the balloon over the panorama
of the Atherton Tablelands - the best way to absorb the diverse eco-culture of
the region. Bring your camera, sunglasses and your hat.
On touch-down everyone
gets involved in squeezing the air out of the balloon and stowing the vehicle
away.
By then you have worked up a healthy appetite for a traditional champagne
breakfast with marinated chicken drumsticks, quiche, and chocolate cake. Receive
your personalised flight certificate before returning to accommodation via Kuranda.
You can be set down in Kuranda Village upon request.
You can choose between
half hour and two half hour flights (the balloon touches down in between).
If
you do half an hour only, make sure you get the first leg to be up in the air
before the sun rises!
