Reef Encounter
offers an outstanding accommodation base for visitors to Cairns to experience
the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef whether they have 1 night or a week to spare.
Reef Encounter has its own onboard water desalinator so guests have the luxury
of unlimited showers.
Reef
Encounter is large enough to provide all the comforts of larger cruise ships,
yet small enough to enable access to spectacular reef locations inaccessible to
other vessels. Snorkellers
as well as certified divers will be looked after with equal enthusiam and Introductory
Scuba Dives are available for those that do not have a dive certification.
Dive
Sites
Reef Encounter visits an area approx. 50 km east of Cairns. They offer diving
at Norman, Saxon, Hastings and Michaelmas Reefs.

Vessel
Accommodation facilities onboard the fully air-conditioned vessel are terrific.
The dining
room is big and fresh, our onboard heated spa is perfect to relax after a night
dive or watch the sunset with a glass of champagne on the huge sundeck.
Our
hydraulic dive / snorkel platform makes diving and snorkeling a breeze.
 Accommodation
Accommodation is available in twin / double and triple cabins. Staterooms
are modern, spacious and bright, with plenty of storage space. All cabins on board
Reef Encounter have ensuite bathrooms.
 Itinerary
The vessel is permanently based on the Great Barrier Reef and cruises
daily to a different site within Norman, Saxon, Hastings and Michaelmas Reefs.
As the vessel is serviced daily by a transfer vessel, it's possible to arrange
a live aboard trip of any duration.
