Special
Excursions
- Explore the Bismarck Sea and Pacific with Lissenung Island
Resort -
5 day New Hanover / Lissenung Island Resort combo
We
would like to show our guests a little more than just Lissenung
Island and the surrounding reefs, so we have put together
the following itinerary. The trip includes 2 nights at Haus
Sirambat, or Tsoi Lik Guesthouse, as it is also
known, in New Hanover.
Dive sites include Big Fish Reef, Turtle Reef and others
that don't get to see many divers at all.
The following itinerary can be booked to suit your dates,
all year round except during July/August, as the seas are
just a bit too rough to travel this far at that time of
the year. We need a minimum of 2 divers. This trip
can be extended with more nights at Lissenung Island Resort,
either at the start or at the end of this trip.
Haus
Sirambat:
The
Guest House is situated on the corner of the Tsoi Lik Island
and the view is classic South Pacific with lagoons, reefs
and little islands. The Guest House complex is still not
complete, with construction of another 4 rooms underway
and a separate Haus Kuk (kitchen) planned for the future.
Currently there are 6 operational rooms for accommodation,
a clean shower and toilet block and a small kitchen and
dining area.
As you would expect with a new Guest House the bedding,
mosquito nets and curtains are all nice and fresh and the
rooms have fly screens. In the most recently constructed
building of two rooms, both have their own pleasant outdoor
space/veranda. The 'older' building has 4 rooms, again with
open areas for relaxing, a dining area and a small kitchen.
The rooms, toilet and shower and common areas are all very
nice and clean.
Power is by generator, there are electric lights but lanterns
are also available.
