6 day Lissenung Island Resort / New Hanover combo

We would like to show our guests a little more than just Lissenung Island and the surrounding reefs, so we have put together the following itinerary. The trip includes 2 nights at Clem's Place on Tunnung Island and dive some fantastic dive sites up there! Weather depending dive sites will include Chapman's Reef with its resident Giant Groupers or a ship wreck and a Midget Submarine at New Hanover.

The following itinerary can be booked to suit your dates. We need a minimum of 2 divers. This trip can be extended with more nights at Lissenung Island Resort, either at the start or at the end of this trip.

Clem's Place:
This guesthouse is run by Clem Anton, a qualified divemaster who worked for many years on live-aboard dive boats that visited this and other areas during the peak dive season. This remote island destination in the beautiful Three Island Harbour area of New Hanover (Lavongai) is a true escape, and allows visitors to really experience traditional village island life.

There are currently 3 traditional-style bungalows, offering single, twin, double and triple-share accommodation, with a maximum of 9 guests at any one time. All meals are provided for, and a traditional mumu will most always form part of your stay. Sing-Sings can easily be arranged through groups from neighbouring islands.

Activities include river trips, trekking, snorkeling, fishing, and surfing (in season). Clem is a qualified divemaster, and there are some exceptional dives very close by.

Sample itinerary:

Day 1:
- arrival into Kavieng
- pick up and overnight at Lissenung

Day 2:
- depart Lissenung for New Hanover
- 2 boat dives around New Hanover
- overnight at Clem's Place on Tunnung Island

Day 3:
- 2 boat dives around New Hanover and Three Islands Harbor
- overnight at Clem's Place on Tunnung Island

Day 4:
- 2 boat dives around New Hanover
- in the afternoon, return to Lissenung
- overnight at Lissenung

Day 5:
- rest day
- if departing late on day 6, possibility for 2 more boat dives
- overnight at Lissenung

Day 6:
- Depart Lissenung or stay on for some more awesome diving!
(Normal accommodation and diving rates apply!)

Total cost per person:
AU$ 1199 per diver, AU$ 794 per non-diver (min. 4 pax).
AU$ 1372 per diver, AU$ 967 per non-diver (min. 2 pax).

Conditions:

• Lissenung Island Resort is a member of the PNG Divers Association (PNGDA). Under the conditions of our membership, divers have to pay an Environment & Safety Fee of PGK 12.00 per person per dive day. This amount helps funding the recompression facility in Port Moresby as well as environmental programs throughout PNG as organized by the PNGDA.
  This is not an insurance and does neither cover evacuation nor chamber treatment.
• For proper dive accident insurance Lissenung Diving strongly recommends DAN (Divers Alert Network) Insurance.
• Extra nights accommodation and extra dive days at Lissenung Island Resort prior to or after the above trip can be booked and will be charged according to our standard rates.
• A minimum of 2 people is required to run this trip.

This is a sample itinerary only and is subject to change without notice, depending on weather conditions. Satellite phone, Oxygen and First Aid equipment and spare parts kit are on board the dive boats. Please note that the guest houses visited might be very basic. However, the experience you will gain during this trip will be very much worth the effort!
